Consistency…I has it

I’ve run 5 out of the last 7 days. Since moving to Colorado, I’ve been struggling with getting my sleep schedule together (What?! There are no scheduled nap times in 8-5 jobs?!). I’ve discovered the (revolutionary!) truth that running helps me stay awake. I run in the mornings to prevent  puffy eyed exhaustion, and I run in the evening to prevent falling asleep on the couch at 5:15. Only problem? It’s probably not a good idea to run twice a day every day. Hmm.

Don’t worry about me, I’m not in any danger of over-exerting myself. I am happy with my running at this point though, and I seem to have the tired-ness under control as well. Now if I could just figure out how to eat healthy for one…  😦

3.5 on the ‘mill tonight due to inclement weather. It wasn’t as dreadful as anticipated. I’ve been forgoing my iPod and Garmin on my runs (ah, liberation!) and so listening to the ‘pod was a refreshing treat. Ok, treat is exaggerating.

Anywho, off to hose down and hop into bed. 3.5 miles on the 5:45 horizon…happy running!

  3. I’ve been running without the iPod recently too – it’s not so bad! still enjoy it on the ‘long’ ones though…

    way to keep going with those runs!
