Success!

Very sweaty post-workout post. The Michigan was a success! I did the short version on the dreadmill because that way I don’t have to think about pace. I had a cheat sheet with the various intervals on it and at the bottom I wrote “DON’T QUIT, BARFING OPTIONAL”

4.5 miles, 9:15 pace average. I realize that’s pretty slow for some of you, but for me that’s fairly speedy. In fact, it wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be, which means I should probably have pushed the pace a little more. Don’t get me wrong – I was working hard – but it was not the death march I expected. Time to go back to those pace charts and see if maybe I’ve improved in the past 5 months!

This weekend: the long version. That will be harder. 9:15 pace over 8 miles? I don’t know, folks…
