10k

Matt found a great Duathlon for us to run in January. It’s the Rio Bravo in Bakersfield. Not an ideal location, as Bakersfield is not known for it’s pure air, but it’s a 10k run and a 16 mile mountain bike race, which is right up our alley. We’re currently thinking of team names. 🙂 I’m trying to figure out how to get 9-10 minute mile pace over those 6 miles, and I think I’m going to have to get over my fear of the track and head out this weekend. Sigh.  My schedule for this week is:

Monday: 5 mile run

Tuesday: Rest

Wednesday: 4 mile run

Thursday: 3 miles (smooth moves!)

Friday: Rest, Pilates

Saturday: Track work: 1 mile test, 4×400

Sunday: Rest, lower body work, weights
